Have fun! It’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t work out. I was just thinking how involved my life is at the moment with my T-Shirt business. My life revolves around it, which is crazy, but if it all fell apart and closed down tomorrow I’d be the same person and I’d find something else to do! I make sure I take one day off during the week to do what I love that doesn’t involve my work. I love doing my work, so I’m very lucky in that aspect, but sometimes it gets boring or tedious so I make sure I stay fresh and Acttee focused.

List your items on eBay. Fill out the title box to identify the article’s brand, name, size and colour, using as many accurate keywords (descriptive nouns) as possible in the 55 character heading limit. Remember that the title is critical to search results! Also complete the description box, including any extra size information and shipping details/guidelines (e.g. insurance). Include the tag “NEW” to indicate that the T-shirt has not been used by others.

Printing tshirts can be very expensive once you purchase all of the equipment needed. So to start, we did a lot of research on which of our funny t-shirt designs we thought would sell the best and then got in touch with some local t-shirt printers and received some prices. We picked the best printers based on price, lead time to finish the job, and final product and placed an order for about 50 t-shirts.

You will initially want to talk to a school or some other organization that has a track and ask them if they will let you use the track. Often if you mention that it is for charity, they will be willing to let you use it for free or a discounted price. If you are planning on having the event during cold months you will definitely want to see if you can get access to an indoor track. Your attendance will be higher if people know they aren’t going to freeze.

It takes a detective’s instincts, an archaeologist’s patience and experience to find savings. “Arleen is a digger”, says Nancy Ploeger who was vice president of operations and human resources at Manhattan-based New York Sports Clubs when the company hired Ms. Kahn. “What she doesn’t know she finds out.” The fitness company saved $50,000.

At the end of your run have the DJ announce the winners of the big prizes and if possible provide a small bag with coupons and other small gifts (maybe you can persuade a t-shirt company to make T-shirts for the event for little or no cost) to all the participants.

Set up some rules for your event. How many people can you have on a team? Can the team all be running/walking at the same time or do you want it to be more like a relay?
