Another way to brand your t-shirt site is to copy the ones that have success. See how they operate their site and what features they use. You might want to get the email a friend feature for your site so that your designs can spread. See what keywords they are using in their meta tags. Meta tags are headlines at the top of the page that are indexed in search engines. Don’t use their exact meta tags as you might want to go for keyword terms a bit less popular, or those that relate to your niche. Try to find your own special feature that will lead to more sales and traffic.
Then one day something magical happened. My wife decided to make our son’s birthday cake herself. She was fed up with grocery store cakes and wanted to take a stab at doing it herself. Because she is an artist, it seemed to come natural to her. Then the unveiling, I saw that red stringy Elmo cake, and I knew we had found our destiny. She could make the cakes, and I could run the business side of things. This was going to be simple, or so I thought. “I will just buy her some cake pans and enroll her in some classes and we’ll be off”.

Afterwards, when I was working in the design team of a fashion magazine in Madrid, I was more in contact with illustrators and photographers, and then I realized I was more interested in illustration than in any other thing of the design process.
Have fun! It’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t work out. I was just thinking how involved my life is at the moment with my T-Shirt business. My life revolves around it, which is crazy, but if it all fell apart and closed down tomorrow I’d be the same person and I’d find something else to do! I make sure I take one day off during the week to do what I love that doesn’t involve my work. I love doing my work, so I’m very lucky in that aspect, but sometimes it gets boring or tedious so I make sure I stay fresh and focused.
To get the maximum benefit, you should intern at a company for at least 3-4 months for at least three days a week so that you really become part of the team and so that your colleagues will remember who you are.
