“That is so sweet that Nick (Sprouse) would say that,” Case said when Shock and Yawn Magazine told of Sprouse’s comments about his confidence in Buster’s.

Before that I had occasion to play pool with my brother, Bill. Not only did he hang out at some of the worst dive bars in St. Louis, he lived upstairs over one. How he put up with the noise and all of the fighting, I’ll never know. It was probably because he was involved in it most of the time.

What makes a good nightclub great is the inclusion of live music. A club that plays top 40s is all well and good, but a club that has a house DJ or a local band on stage brings the feeling of a big event to the club. Hearing song mash-ups or remixes spun from an artist’s turntable gets everyone on their feet and moving. And a live band makes a crowd roar. This makes the club the must-see hot spot for lovers of nightlife.

Luckily, the only requirement for being a club promoter is to get people to show up to clubs. If you talk to the manager of the club and get to know him, you can get all sorts of benefits which make you the “guy to know” for all those hot club chicks.

The Shelter, which just celebrated its one-year anniversary, was voted Creative Loafing Atlanta’s Best New Club of 2010 and most recently, AOL City’s Best Atlanta – Best t-shirt country of 2010. It is the home of the underground scene, but “tourists” into the scene also really seem to enjoy it. Truth be told, it is a bar unlike any other in town. It has an atmosphere that is completely unique, and you really must experience it for yourself.

I happened to be downtown Nashville on a slow Sunday night looking for a place that was hopping. Much to my surprise a friend and I discovered this little world of its own. What drew us in were the half naked beautiful bartenders dancing on the bar and singing karaoke. The crowd is welcome to participate in karaoke just not dancing on the bar. It was packed with all types of people from college students to young professionals. This is a fun energy filled atmosphere. It is very casual. A Coors Light will run you $4 and a mixed drink $6.

The good thing about Sundance is that there is always a better party just down the street so I head to Tao to meet some other friends just in time to see Nelly perform as Lance Bass, Akon, Tara Ried and Mathew Lillard get the place Hot in Herre.
