After all the donations have arrived the businesses that helped you, and organizations that volunteered would probably like to know how much money the event earned for the charity. Send out a postcard with the total amount earned, and if you plan on doing the event next year let them know that you hope they can be involved again.

Once you have got your feet wet and have a good number of designs go ahead and transfer over to producing your own shirts. Make sure you do the math right to produce the shirts in bulk amounts for less than you would sell them to the public.

Along the way, I developed the five simple questions below that I wish I could have asked myself before all this started. In my case, the answers would have still been yes, but it would have been nice to think about beforehand.

Starting your own business is extremely hard work. My wife and I have worked to the point of physical and mental exhaustion just to wake up the next day and do it all again. Luckily, we have both been through Army Basic Training and know that we were capable of pushing through. There is no clock to punch, no vacation time, Acttee and no paycheck. That said, I’ve also continued to work my regular day job until 5pm then off to the bakery until midnight or later. So ask yourself, if you are willing to put yourself through this.
