Case and her husband, lawyers by day for their own firm, Case and Case, wanted to keep the bar that had been a second home to them during college going. They wanted to re-open a pool hall and bar, and were not necessarily planning on a music hall.

There is a place in the village where all of Dorothy’s people gather, lovingly known as Mary’s. It is a self described “t-shirt country” and is proud of that label. Here, you’ll find friendly bartenders, lots of tattoos, and Converse All-Stars to fill up any walk-in closet. This is one of the less pretentious bars around. The lighting is dime and the space is small, but once you come here, you will never forget it.

We start off back at the ESPN Lounge where Matt Leinart is hosting an ESPN Gameday viewing party and the list is tighter than a Vanity Fair Oscar party. We manage to get in and meet up with Gold and his crew and mingle among Roger Clemens, Jamie Kennedy, Christian Slater, Dante Stallworth and Ahman Green.

Wednesday nights they have Metal Night. As the name implies, metal music is played all night. This was my favorite night. When I am able to enjoy alcohol again, I will be finding a sitter so I can go to Metal Night again. Usually, they have a laptop set up at the front of the bar, iTunes filled with more music than I can wrap my head around and I’m a huge music fanatic, and you pick what’s played throughout the night.

Sure we can go to the coffee shop everyday for our venti non-fat caramel machiatto, but do we ever slow down enough to take in the scenery? Chances are we’re too busy chatting on our cell phones or checking off to-dos in our planners to notice the cute guy waiting for his soy latte.
