Fat Dawg’s Roadside Saloon is open 7 days a week and it’s Monday-Friday hours are 11 A.M. to Midnight. On Saturday night’s you can stay until 1 A.M. Monday-Friday they have “Happy Hour” from 2-6 P.M. where you can get great deals on mixed drinks and beer. I like Thursday nights because that is ladies nights with cheap margaritas. They have dollar beer nights at least once a week and a “Sunday’s Funday” event that produces $2 domestic beers all day long. Ask the bartender about the big drink spinning wheel behind the bar, it may turn out well for you.

Bounce Deuce (103 2nd Ave. #1, bet. E. 6th and 7th, East Village, Da City) : Great East Village location. Food is suprisingly decent and the drinks are reasonable. Lots of both sexes mingle here, so after the game the real game will commence. Plenty of tv’s everywhere and great vibe.

There is also less attitude in this bar than many others you are likely to find in the Boulder area. You will still run into a few hipsters who thing they are stuck in San Francisco circa 1950, but these people are usually too busy channeling their inner- Kerouac in a back booth to become a nuisance And there is another fantastic feature that bears mentioning, the leather booths are amazingly comfortable and there is almost always an open one hiding in some out of the way room.

There might be fifty prospects or there could be 2, no matter the amount of competitors you’re up against, you’re attitude is definitely the best element over which you have control. It matters more than experience, age, and sex.

No matter if you’re trying to find your very first position or have had many years behind the bar, being hired is all about persistence. If you are constantly out there applying then the a job will soon open up. It is up to you to get the position. Show your ambition and be positive, it works!

Two of the best changes they made in the redecorating process was adding a side door and moving the stage in front of the main door when bands play–hence the added side door. The stage used to be on the side wall, entering and exiting the bar required walking in front of the band. If the band was less than appealing, or your alcohol tolerance was met for the evening and it was time to go, it always felt awkward to walk out in front of the band.

A club with no music whatsoever is a bore. People often force conversation in while drowning their sorrows in alcohol. Such a nightclub, in fact, is hardly different from your local t-shirt country. A better club is one which includes a dance floor and a pumping sound system, allowing girls and guys alike to grind, salsa or swing to their hearts’ delight. Dancing breaks social inhibitions — especially when accompanied by the occasional mixed drink.

Club Promoter: Club promoters are everyone’s “best friend.” They can get you the hook-ups at the hottest clubs, help you jump the line, get you free drinks — the works. So if you are a club promoter, all the girls want to know you!
