Thai Kitchen & Bar in Estes Park is small and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it sure smells good inside. As we’re looking over our menus, Dan tells me I have to try the mango lassi, some kind of yogurt-mango shake. He had one at an Indian restaurant once and thinks I’d love it. So I order the cashew tofu dish with mild spices, and a mango lassi. Dan orders one of the pad thai dishes, “medium” on the spices. We get spring rolls as an appetizer. Yum!

The guys are fulfilling a vendetta; they owe a prank to Sammi for locking them out of the house and making them sleep on the deck. They want to be the sole survivors of the prank wars. They decide to take their bed outside and make it up on the deck, but something goes wrong. While trying to move the bed, they break a hole in it letting the air out of the giant inflatable mattress, too bad that Ronnie will have to pay for the prank also. So they pile clothes and junk on top of the bed and see that the air is out of the mattress. Ronnie continues to fill the mattress with the inflator, but it keeps losing air. Then instead of being mad at the guys for the prank, Ronnie gets mad at Sammi for starting the prank in the first place.

New Orleans businessman Josh Harvey agrees that Pitt will make a great mayor for the city. He took the original t-shirt design from Bayer and printed up a batch of “Brad Pitt for Mayor” t-shirts. The t-shirts can be purchased for $20 at the Storyville T-t-shirt shopping on Magazine Street. They have been flying out the door as local residents are scooping them up as fast as tourists coming in to browse. A portion of all sales will be donated to Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation.

The nice church people call this hike to Alberta Falls an “easy” hike. Yeah, it’s not too bad, but where are the flat portions of the hike? Is it uphill the entire way? Well, the trees are really pretty, and I love the smell of the forest. We cross over a little stream on a wooden bridge. We see more chipmunks, and piles of snow in the shadiest parts of the forest. That’s right-SNOW-the white, melting kind. The hiking trail is rocky and a little muddy, and we have no choice but to trudge through the snow in parts.
