Boston, Massachusetts residents won’t have to travel to the Jersey Shore to buy Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s new t-shirts. The creations will be readily available online on a website dedicated to the clothing line, called Jersey Laundry. Be ready with your credit card in late February when the website launches.

Step seven. Put your design on products. This is easy at the print on demand T-shirt sites. The main problem is making sure that your design is visible on all the colors the T-shirts come in, both light and dark.

You need to attract people to your Web T-t-shirt shopping. You need to know for which keywords they are searching, Acttee and you need to know how many pages the search engines find for those keywords. You want the most people searching and the fewest pages competing. You can find out both for free using Google’s keyword tool and the regular Google search. At WordTracker, you can pay $60 per month to save time and effort, or $27.50 per month if you buy their service by the year.

Step eight. Advertise your products carefully. Your markup on an individual T-shirt is probably about two dollars. Most people who buy from your site will buy only one T-shirt. You can not afford to be paying very much per customer who arrives. Fortunately there are places to advertise for free on the Web.

One of our last stops is the toy store. With or without my kids, I always enjoy looking in toy stores. It’s a cute little shop, but I don’t see anything that I must buy.

Simple, right? So why so much confusion? Well, part of the problem is that, to many young people, “vintage” and “retro” are both just categories of “old.” Is that vintage Star Wars tee cool because the shirt is old, or because Star Wars is old? Are those vintage concert t shirts cool because they came from the actual concert, or because the bands are retro trendy? A high school kid probably doesn’t care and makes no distinction between the two.

So is the statement ‘a t-shirt is a t-shirt’ really accurate? When talking to some of my clients, its important to listen to their requirements. I discovered that even something as tangible as a tee shirt can have a subjective quality ; an expected performance, if you will. For instance, a fitted shirt as compared to a regular t shirt serves a different purpose. Why you ask? Primarily because of the garment stitching and cut.

The parking lot is nearly full when we get back to our car. We have to go out the same way we came in. But before we leave Rocky Mountain National Park, we stop at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead, which is also on Bear Lake Road, for one more quick hike. It’s my idea. Unfortunately, we’ve both forgotten the name of the waterfall we already hiked to, so we start hiking to Alberta Falls again. We follow Glacier Creek all the way to that wooden bridge we crossed earlier this morning. Then Dan realizes where we are (I’m clueless-I’m on my way up the damn hill again when Dan stops me), and we turn around.
