The blinds had just been raised to $1,500 and with an Ace, King in my hand, I was in a good position to stay in the game. It was just another unbelievable moment in my Sundance 2007 adventures.

No matter if you’re trying to find your very first position or have had many years behind the bar, being hired is all about persistence. If you are constantly out there applying then the a job will soon open up. It is up to you to get the position. Show your ambition and be positive, it works!

When I was in San Antonio training for a job that I had managing a restaurant, I had to walk through the barrio to get to the grocery store. I had gotten tired of living off of motel food. While I was trying to find the local Piggly Wiggly, (yes, there is a supermarket with that name), I got lost.

Essie first appeared on the scene debuting in Vegas in 1981. Since then they have been seen all over the globe. Today they are part of the USA L’Oreal family. They have been worn by celebrates and have teamed up with unique polishes for Universal Studios, J Crew, Rock & Republic and even Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. They are star-studded for a reason. They have truly unique color choices available. For example black polish is not simply called black but is called devils advocate, t-shirt country, licorice, little brown dress, and masquerade belle. Each of these shades is black, but they are their own unique black Essie lacquer. Each varies from the other to offer Essie polish users just the perfect shade of black they are looking for.

The show is always a variety of talents. There is often a musical performance, burlesque and comedy. The mixture of performers attracts a unique mixture of audience.

I am not a celebrity. Okay, I am nowhere close to a celebrity. With sitcom stars and poker champions surrounding me, I felt a tinge of guilt knowing that after all, I was only an intern at E! Entertainment.

Of course, we aren’t on the list and this time we don’t have a Perez Hilton or Jamie Gold to help us out. “This is the Miramax Party, right? … We’re not on the list? Weird. Yeah, um, we were invited by uh, Adam.” The women at the front clearly sees through our B.S. but after claiming to have forgotten our cards and giving a pleading smile, we convince her we are “important” and make our way inside to mingle with the party-goers. The bash is sponsored by Absolute Vodka and has possibly one of the best buffets we have seen all week. Delish!
