The research and negotiating skills Ms. Kahn honed to get Edward Fields its corporate discounts became the foundation of her cost control consulting service, AMK Associates. She has capitalized on the cost-consciousness of the late 1990’s and the present, as well as the shrinking of in-house staffs, to build a business committed to paring expenses for services such as shipping, printing, packing products and office/equipment supplies.

T-shirts are another good money maker. You may not be able to make your own t-shirts at home. But you can go to a local t-shirt company in town or go with a t-shirt design company online. Think of some crazy slogans or current events and make your own tee. Slogans, phrases, Acttee and current events will always do you good. You can have 500 t-shirts made for under $2.00 each. Sell them at $5.00 and will double your money and then some. I have done this myself and to this day, sell t-shirts I created. It usually takes about a week and a half to sell 500 t-shirts. Sell more than 2 different t-shirts at the same time and you will easily make over $1000.00 a week or more every week on eBay.

No, it’s not a pick up line. I met Palmer (he goes by his last name)a few years ago when Nati Evolvement participated in a fashion event I produced for Second Sundays on Main (then known as Sunday Markets on Main). I remember being impressed by their professionalism and ambition, and it seems time has only served to amplify both.

Pick out your financial goal and cost raffle off tickets accordingly. Sell raffle tickets to everyone including friends and neighbors, and the general public. Set up sales tables outside retail locations if possible. And use big signs explaining why your church group is raising money.

Hopefully you already have some designs created so next is to spend some time on your shop’s website. If you need to brush up on your HTML skills, check out W3Schools, for a fast, simple way to learn HTML, and how to code websites. Personally, I use Dreamweaver, from Adobe. If you have a little money to spend, pick up this website building program. It has a great Help section, and online tutorials that will give you massive amounts of web building power, more than any template can give you. By completely customizing your website, you can update it at any time, with only limited knowledge of HTML and web design.

It takes a detective’s instincts, an archaeologist’s patience and experience to find savings. “Arleen is a digger”, says Nancy Ploeger who was vice president of operations and human resources at Manhattan-based New York Sports Clubs when the company hired Ms. Kahn. “What she doesn’t know she finds out.” The fitness company saved $50,000.

Shirt Magic is a company that allows you to select your own shirt and design. You can make use of a design that you designed yourself or choose from one of their many designs. They supply to print your shirts with no least order requirement. This is a benefit and eliminates the requirement to buy bulk shirts and allows you to order only what you want.

If you’re not a creative person, then might want to get help with the design and the font so that it’s not hard to read and is visually appealing. Perhaps your T shirt printing company will be able to help for a fee.
